Step6. Remove repetitive categories
These are the words that state their meaning themselves, and we do not need to add anything to them. But we often use them redundantly like instead of writing ‘The vase was brown in color,’ we can simply write ’The vase was brown.’ These redundancies can be easily removed.
Step7. Join sentences
Many times in an effort to express their views, students tend to use more than one sentence to complete what they wish to express. This can be combined in a single sentence without altering the meaning and also reducing the word count. For e.g., Original – The topic was quite difficult. It took me a long time to complete it. Modified – The topic was quite difficult and time-consuming.
